Placements24 is seeking a skilled Chemical Process Design Engineer for a fully remote position with a primary collaboration hub in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. You will design and develop robust chemical processes from concept through implementation, using Aspen Plus and HYSYS, while coordinating virtually with a distributed team.

Ideal candidates have a minimum of 5 years in chemical process design, strong thermodynamics and heat/mass transfer knowledge, and proficiency in PFD/P&ID development.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.

Responsabilidades

• Develop PFDs and P&IDs for new plants and modifications.
• Conduct feasibility studies and conceptual design.
• Perform process simulations using Aspen Plus, HYSYS, or similar.
• Specify process equipment meeting project and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams via virtual channels.
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing processes to improve yield and efficiency.
• Ensure designs comply with industry codes and safety regulations.
• Prepare technical reports and present proposals to stakeholders.
