Placements24 is recruiting a Junior Procurement Specialist in Gauteng to assist the procurement team with supplier sourcing, requisitions, quotes, and order processing. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders and ensuring timely deliveries in a hybrid work setting.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Diploma in SCM or related field, 0–2 years of procurement exposure, and strong organizational and communication skills, with Proficiency in Excel and ERP familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 0-2 years of procurement or related administrative experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify and source suppliers for indirect and direct materials.
• Process requisitions and generate purchase orders in the procurement system.
• Obtain quotes and support price negotiations with suppliers.
• Maintain accurate supplier databases and procurement records.
• Monitor order status and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand needs and provide support.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
• Prepare basic procurement reports and track key metrics.
• Resolve simple queries and discrepancies related to purchases.
