Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Procurement Clerk to support the purchasing team in Randburg, Gauteng. This entry-level role focuses on processing purchase orders, managing supplier records, and handling routine procurement tasks with accuracy and initiative.

You will work closely with the procurement team, learn ERP systems, and gain foundational skills in purchasing and supply chain within a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role with focus on administration and data entry.
• Familiarity with procurement basics is a plus.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills required.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase orders in the ERP system.
• Maintain accurate supplier information in records.
• Assist in obtaining quotations from approved suppliers.
• Track purchase orders and ensure timely delivery.
• Liaise with suppliers to resolve queries.
• File and organize procurement documents.
• Support data entry and administrative tasks.
• Verify invoices against POs and delivery notes.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies.
• Maintain an organized procurement filing system.
• Provide general admin support to procurement.
• Learn and apply basic procurement principles.
