Placements24 is seeking a Process Engineer to join our client near Paarl, South Africa. The role focuses on process optimization, troubleshooting, and equipment design within chemical and petrochemical industries.

You will analyze operational data, implement improvements, and support new projects, requiring strong analytical skills, knowledge of thermodynamics, and experience with simulation software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience as a Process Engineer in an industrial setting.
• Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, ChemCAD).
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and mass transfer.
• Experience with P&ID development and HAZOP studies is advantageous.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team in Paarl, SA.

Responsabilités

• Analyze process data to identify opportunities for efficiency, yield, and cost improvements.
• Develop and implement process modifications and optimization strategies.
• Design and specify new process equipment and systems, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical evaluations for process enhancements.
