Job summary
Placements24 is seeking a skilled Process Engineer for their Polokwane facility. You will design and optimize chemical processes, troubleshoot operations, and drive improvements for yield and cost efficiency.
The role requires a Chemical Engineering degree and hands-on experience in process engineering, with familiarity in Aspen Plus and strong PSM knowledge. You will contribute to safe, sustainable production in a dynamic chemical manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
- Proven experience in process engineering within chemical manufacturing.
- Knowledge of process safety management (PSM) principles.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize chemical processes for efficiency, safety, and quality.
- Monitor process performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct process hazard analyses (PHA) and implement safety improvements.
- Collaborate with R&D to scale up from lab to plant scale.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards.
- Analyze production data to identify yield improvements and cost savings.
