Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Process Engineer to join their chemical manufacturing division in Cape Town. You will optimize and troubleshoot processes, ensuring safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance across scale-up from lab to production.

Collaborating with R&D, production, and maintenance, you will drive process improvements, validate new equipment, and support operator training to sustain quality and reliability in a dynamic coastal city.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum 4 years of process engineering experience in chemical manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of reaction engineering, thermodynamics, and mass transfer.
• Experience with safety standards and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize chemical processes to improve yield, efficiency, and safety.
• Conduct PHAs and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
• Monitor process parameters, analyze data, and troubleshoot to ensure product quality.
• Develop and execute validation protocols for new equipment and process changes.
