An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced, hands-on Operations Manager to join a well-established Christian-based non-profit organisation. This is a varied and responsible role requiring a strong all-rounder with excellent financial and business acumen, sound judgement and the ability to bring structure, efficiency and accountability to day-to-day operations. Reporting directly to the CEO, the successful candidate will oversee a broad range of operational, financial and administrative functions, ensuring the organisation runs smoothly and effectively. This role will appeal to someone who enjoys taking ownership, improving processes and contributing to an organisation making a meaningful difference in the community.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations and administrative functions.
• Manage financial processes, budgets, expenditure and reporting, ensuring sound financial controls and accountability.
• Support the CEO with operational planning, strategic initiatives and the implementation of organisational priorities.
• Oversee governance, compliance and risk management, ensuring appropriate policies and procedures are maintained.
• Manage facilities, maintenance, property-related matters and external service providers.
• Identify opportunities to improve systems, streamline processes and strengthen operational efficiencies.
• Oversee IT systems and administrative resources.
• Coordinate contractual, legal and regulatory matters, liaising with external professionals where required.
• Support marketing, communications and other organisational initiatives.
• Build positive working relationships with staff and stakeholders, fostering a collaborative and accountable working environment.

Requirements

• A relevant degree in Business Management, Finance, Operations or a related discipline.
• At least 4 years' management experience in a broad operational or business management role.
• Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, financial controls and reporting.
• Proven ability to manage multiple operational functions, systems and processes.
• Sound understanding of governance, compliance and risk management.
• Excellent organisational, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• A proactive, practical and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to work both strategically and hands-on.
• An appreciation of and respect for the organisation's Christian values and ethos.
• Previous experience in a non-profit environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
