About the Role

Our client, a charming and highly-rated boutique hotel nestled in the scenic town of Mossel Bay, is seeking a dedicated and results-oriented Operations Manager. This role is responsible for the day-to-day management of all hotel operations, ensuring the highest standards of guest service, operational efficiency, and staff performance. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a passion for hospitality, a strong understanding of hotel operations, and the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. You will oversee departments such as housekeeping, F&B, and front office, ensuring a seamless and memorable guest experience that reflects the unique charm of Mossel Bay.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the efficient and effective day-to-day operations of the hotel, including housekeeping, front desk, food and beverage, and maintenance.
• Ensure all departments deliver exceptional guest service, adhering to the hotel’s service standards and brand values.
• Manage staff performance, provide training and development, and foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and guest satisfaction.
• Control operational costs, manage budgets, and monitor key performance indicators for all departments.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations relevant to the hospitality industry in Mossel Bay.
• Collaborate with department heads to set goals and achieve operational objectives.
• Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
• Participate in marketing and sales initiatives to drive occupancy and revenue.
• Maintain the overall ambiance and presentation of the hotel premises.

Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in hotel management or operations, preferably in a boutique hotel setting.
• Proven experience in managing multiple hotel departments.
