Placements24 is seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to lead the culinary and service operations of a luxury hotel in Mossel Bay. You will oversee all F&B outlets, ensure profitability, and uphold exceptional guest experiences in a beautiful Western Cape setting.

The role requires strategic leadership, strong cost control, inventory and P&L responsibility, and the ability to train and motivate a diverse team.

Qualifications

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Food & Beverage Manager to lead the culinary and service operations of a luxury hotel in the picturesque town of Mossel Bay . This role demands a strategic leader with a passion for gastronomy and impeccable service standards. You will be responsible for all F&B outlets, including restaurants, bars, banqueting, and room service, ensuring profitability, operational efficiency, and an exceptional guest experience. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the Food & Beverage department, including menu planning, service standards, and operational efficiency.


• Manage and develop the F&B team, providing training, motivation, and performance evaluations to ensure high standards of service.


• Develop and implement strategic plans to maximize revenue, control costs, and improve profitability across all F&B outlets.


• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations within the F&B operations.


• Manage inventory, procurement of food and beverage supplies, and maintain relationships with suppliers.


• Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu development and with the Events team on banqueting and catering services.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience as an F&B Manager or Assistant F&B Manager in a luxury hotel environment.


• Strong understanding of F&B operations, including cost control, inventory management, and P&L responsibility.


• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.


• Proven ability to train and motivate a diverse team.


• Experience with banqueting and event catering is essential.


• Degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
