Job summary

ATS Client is seeking an experienced IT Technician for an on-site role in Pretoria East. The ideal candidate will manage a fast-paced, call-centre oriented IT environment and lead infrastructure projects. Strong certification background and 3–5 years in IT support are essential.

The role focuses on server, network, and security administration with opportunities to drive improvements and ensure SLA adherence in a dynamic team.

Qualifications

Matric (Grade 12) and relevant IT certifications are required.
Office 365 certification is essential.
3–5 years' IT support experience, preferably in a call centre.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of the IT ticketing system with prioritisation, resolution and escalation per SLA.
Act as escalation point for complex issues and mentor junior team members.
Maintain clear communication with stakeholders throughout incidents and projects.
Oversee server infrastructure including maintenance, backups and DR readiness.
Lead and contribute to IT projects from planning to delivery.
Manage network and security infrastructure (firewalls, antivirus, monitoring).
Conduct system audits and health checks across critical environments.
Drive process improvements, automation and system reliability.
Ensure compliance with IT governance and best practices.
