Job summary
ATS Client is seeking a technically strong Technical Support Manager to lead our 1st and 2nd line support while taking a hands-on role in system configuration, deployment, and client onboarding.
The role balances leadership, technical troubleshooting, and client engagement, with travel to client sites as required. This contract position is based in Pretoria, offering a cost to company salary of R840k negotiable on experience.
Qualifications
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
- Proven experience in 1st and 2nd line technical support.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with system configuration and deployment.
- Ability to lead and mentor a small team.
- Confident and professional in client-facing environments.
- Willingness to travel to client sites.
Responsibilities
- Managing and overseeing all 1st and 2nd line support queries
- Acting as the escalation point for complex technical issues
- Leading and mentoring a small technical support team
- Ensuring efficient resolution of client support requests
- Performing system configuration, implementation, and deployment
- Supporting new client onboarding and ongoing system use
- Assisting in the development of training materials
- Working closely with development teams to enhance system performance
- Travelling to client sites when required
