Job summary

Motus Corporation in Bloemfontein seeks an experienced Field Services Technician to deliver onsite IT support for employees, dealerships and business units. You will troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues, build workstations and configure devices to keep end-user computing running smoothly.

You will manage incidents in the Motus Service Desk, maintain assets, assist with deployments, and ensure security and change-management practices are followed while maintaining strong customer

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• IT-related qualification, diploma or relevant technical certification would be advantageous.
• Relevant vendor certifications, such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft certifications or equivalent, would be beneficial.
• Approximately 2–3 years of experience in desktop support or onsite IT support.
• Experience with Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, AD/Microsoft Entra ID, and basic networking.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite IT support to Motus employees and dealerships within the region.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, OS and peripheral-related issues.
• Assist with workstation builds, device configuration and software installations.
• Manage incidents and service requests in the ticketing system with accurate notes.
• Escalate complex issues to specialist teams when required.
• Maintain asset records and report equipment movements.
• Support deployments and OS upgrade projects following approved plans.
• Ensure compliance with security, change-management and IT policies.
