About the Role

Our client, a leading provider of critical network infrastructure services, is seeking an experienced Network Operations Center (NOC) Supervisor to lead their team in Randburg, Gauteng . This role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the NOC, ensuring the continuous monitoring, management, and support of the company's extensive network. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network operations, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of network monitoring tools and protocols. You will play a vital role in maintaining network stability, responding to incidents, and ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met. This hybrid position allows for effective team management through a combination of on-site oversight and remote coordination. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the NOC team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
• Oversee the real-time monitoring of network performance, availability, and security.
• Lead incident response efforts, including fault diagnosis, escalation, and resolution coordination.
• Ensure adherence to operational procedures and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Manage network change control processes and ensure minimal disruption during maintenance windows.
• Develop and maintain NOC documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Analyze network performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with engineering, field operations, and customer support teams.
• Implement and optimize NOC tools and technologies for enhanced efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in network operations or a related IT infrastructure role.
• At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity within a NOC environment.
• Proficiency with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG) and ticketing systems.
• Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS) and network architectures.
• Experience with incident management and problem management processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Experience in a hybrid work setup is advantageous.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, Network+) are a plus.
