Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Mine Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team at our client’s site near Port Elizabeth. You will oversee preventive maintenance programs, respond to equipment breakdowns, and drive reliability of heavy mining equipment, from excavators to crushers.

This hands-on leadership role requires a trade qualification and at least five years in a supervisory mining environment, with strong hydraulic, electrical and mechanical knowledge and solid CMMS

Qualifications

• Trade qualification (e.g., Mechanical Fitter, Electrician) or equivalent heavy equipment maintenance experience.
• Minimum 5 years in a supervisory role within mining or heavy industrial maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems of heavy mining machinery.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a technical team.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with CMMS is advantageous.
