Qualifications

• Trade qualification (e.g., Diesel Mechanic, Electrician) or a relevant technical diploma/degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance supervision within a mining or heavy industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of heavy mobile equipment and stationary plant maintenance.
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team, including mechanics, electricians, and fitters.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for all mining equipment and plant machinery.

You will oversee routine maintenance, preventative strategies, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical issues across a fleet of heavy machinery and processing plant equipment. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to proactive maintenance practices in the demanding environment of Mpumalanga .
