About the Role

This hybrid role requires a balance of hands‑on supervision on‑site and strategic planning from a local office. You will lead a team of skilled technicians and mechanics, ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of critical mining equipment, thereby minimizing downtime and maximizing operational efficiency. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining a safe and productive working environment within the demanding mining industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for all mining machinery and plant infrastructure.
• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues in a timely manner.
• Manage spare parts inventory and procurement processes for essential components.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with stringent health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work sites to identify potential hazards or maintenance needs.

Requirements

• Trade qualification as a Mechanic, Electrician, or Fitter and Turner.
• Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in heavy industrial or mining maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems in heavy-duty equipment.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a technical team.
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and a commitment to safety protocols in a mine environment.
