Job summary

Quest Staffing Solutions in Johannesburg is seeking a Mandarin-speaking Call Centre Operator to handle customer calls in Mandarin and English, providing accurate information and friendly service. The role is full-time with rotational shifts and is based in Woodmead.

You will record customer details, follow procedures, assist with translations when needed, and work with the team to resolve issues while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Fluent in spoken and written Mandarin Chinese and English.
• Minimum Diploma / NQF Level 6 or equivalent.
• Good communication, listening and problem-solving skills.
• Professional telephone manner and customer-service attitude.
• Basic computer skills, including email, Word, Excel and data entry.
• Ability to follow procedures and work accurately.
• Willingness to work rotational shifts.
• Reliable, organized and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound and outbound customer calls in Mandarin and English.
• Assist customers with enquiries and provide accurate information.
• Resolve customer issues or escalate them to the relevant department.
• Record customer information, enquiries and follow-ups accurately.
• Follow call-handling procedures, scripts and service standards.
• Assist with Mandarin-English translation when required.
• Follow up on customer requests and ensure issues are resolved.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional communication.
• Work with team members to ensure efficient customer service.
