Cape Joy in the Western Cape invites an accomplished leader to oversee our direct-to-consumer initiatives, focusing on the Wine Club growth and exceptional guest experiences in the Tasting Room.

This role blends operations, sales strategy, and brand stewardship, requiring a hands-on manager who can drive profitability, ensure compliance, and elevate service for high-net-worth guests during weekends and events.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' management experience in luxury hospitality, wine, tourism, or DTC sales.
• Proven track record in Wine Club growth and management.
• Strong understanding of hospitality compliance (food safety, liquor licensing, Occupational Health and Safety).
• Experience developing, implementing, and auditing SOPs in a hospitality setting.
• Advanced proficiency in GAAP and CRM systems.
• Strong commercial, financial, and analytical skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Professional presentation suitable for high-net-worth clientele.
• Passion for premium wine and operational excellence.
• Available to work weekends, public holidays, and events.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the vision for Tasting Room operations, Wine Club, and direct wine sales.
• Oversee daily Tasting Room operations, tastings, and food pairings, ensuring consistency and high standards.
• Develop, implement, and audit SOPs to ensure compliance with food safety, liquor licensing, and OHS.
• Lead Wine Club membership growth, retention, and engagement strategies with data-driven insights.
• Deliver luxury guest experiences and manage VIP visits, trade guests, media, and stakeholders.
• Recruit, coach, and develop the hospitality team and drive a culture of accountability.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to drive visitation and events aligning with brand objectives.
• Monitor sales, inventory, CRM data integrity, and reporting accuracy.
