Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Wine Estate Hospitality Manager to lead guest-facing operations at a renowned Stellenbosch wine estate. The role includes managing the tasting room, restaurant, and accommodation facilities to deliver exceptional service aligned with the estate’s brand.

You will guide hospitality teams, oversee budgets, ensure health and liquor compliance, and work with winemaking and marketing to drive memorable experiences and revenue growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in hospitality management.
• Strong understanding of wine, winemaking processes, and wine tasting etiquette.
• Proven track record in managing teams, driving sales, and delivering exceptional customer service.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with POS systems and hospitality management software.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead the hospitality team, including tasting room staff, restaurant servers, and potentially accommodation hosts, ensuring high performance and service standards.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the wine tasting room, restaurant, and any other guest-facing facilities.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance the guest experience, focusing on personalized service and creating unique brand interactions.
• Manage budgets for hospitality operations, including revenue forecasting, cost control, and profitability analysis.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and liquor licensing regulations.
• Collaborate with the winemaking and marketing teams to align hospitality offerings with the estate's brand identity and promotional activities.
