Job summary

Pick Me Recruitment is seeking a dynamic Tasting Room Manager for a prestigious Cape Winelands estate. You will lead the tasting room team, elevate guest experiences, and drive direct-to-consumer sales in a luxury wine environment.

The role requires WSET Level 3 or equivalent, 2+ years in premium wine-tasting management, and strong leadership, sales, and organizational skills. Fluent English and Afrikaans are essential, with own transport preferred.

Qualifications

• WSET Level 3 or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years’ management in premium wine tasting.
• Experience in hospitality, staff training, and events.
• Proficient in EzyWine and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Guest Experience: oversee tastings, engage guests, foster brand loyalty.
• Sales: achieve targets, grow visitor numbers and repeat business.
• Team Leadership: manage and train tasting room staff.
• Operations: oversee daily operations, inventory and cash-ups.
• Events: coordinate and host tastings and events.
• Compliance: maintain health and safety and impeccable facilities.
• Collaborate with DTC Manager to elevate guest experience.
