Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Lead Human Resources Generalist to spearhead HR operations in the Tembisa, Gauteng office. You will shape policies, lead recruitment, oversee compensation and benefits, and drive employee engagement to support our client's strategic objectives.

The role requires at least 8 years in an HR generalist capacity, with 2 years in a lead or supervisory position, and deep knowledge of SA labour law (BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HRM or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years in a comprehensive HR generalist role, with at least 2 years in lead/supervisory capacity.
• Strong knowledge of South African labor legislation (BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA).
• Experience in employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and compensation & benefits.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day HR operations for the Tembisa office.
• Develop and maintain HR policies compliant with SA labor laws.

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly experienced and proactive Lead Human Resources Generalist to spearhead HR operations in Tembisa, Gauteng . This leadership position requires a seasoned professional who can manage a broad range of HR functions, from policy development and implementation to employee engagement and talent acquisition. You will be pivotal in ensuring HR practices align with our client's strategic objectives and contribute to a productive and positive work environment. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all day-to-day HR operations for the Tembisa, Gauteng office.
• Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures that comply with South African labor laws.
• Lead and manage recruitment and onboarding processes to attract and retain high-caliber employees.
• Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive and equitable.
• Manage employee relations, addressing grievances, disputes, and disciplinary actions effectively and fairly.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in a comprehensive HR generalist role, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
• Demonstrated experience working in a similar capacity within the Tembisa, Gauteng region is strongly preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of South African labor legislation, including the BCEA, LRA, EEA, and SDA.
• Proven experience in employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and compensation & benefits.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficiency in HR Information Systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• High level of ethical conduct and ability to maintain confidentiality.
