About the Role

Our client, a premier automotive dealership in Vereeniging, Gauteng, is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Lead Automotive Service Advisor to guide their service reception team. This crucial role involves serving as the primary point of contact for customers, accurately assessing their vehicle needs, and ensuring a seamless service experience from check-in to pick-up. The Lead Service Advisor will also mentor junior advisors, manage appointment schedules, and liaise effectively with the workshop technicians. Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and professionally, actively listening to their concerns regarding vehicle service and repair needs.
• Accurately document customer requests and vehicle conditions on service orders.
• Inspect vehicles with customers to identify potential issues and explain recommended services.
• Provide clear, concise explanations of recommended services, repairs, and associated costs.
• Effectively communicate with automotive technicians to ensure clear understanding of repair requirements.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Automotive Service Advisor, with at least 3-5 years in a customer-facing role.
• Demonstrable experience in a leadership or senior advisory capacity is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of automotive repair processes and terminology.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, and active listening skills.
• Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and work under pressure in a busy Vereeniging environment.
• Proficiency with automotive dealership management systems (DMS) and basic computer skills.

• A valid driver's license.
