Job summary

SRG Recruitment in Gauteng is seeking an experienced Account Manager to nurture key client relationships, drive value, and coordinate cross-functional delivery for a diverse portfolio.

You will lead price increase negotiations, identify growth opportunities, manage billing processes, and mentor the Account Management team to uphold service excellence and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Account Management or similar commercial role.
• Proven experience in client relationship management and price negotiations.
• Strong business development and upselling skills to grow client portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage key client relationships, including regular client meetings, communication, queries and complaints, ensuring a high level of service
• Lead annual price increase negotiations, from preparation and budget discussions through to securing signed agreements and ensuring increases are implemented on time
• Identify opportunities for business growth, including upselling, alternative solutions, additional services and expanding relationships across client groups
• Manage billing and book debt processes, ensuring signed agreements and supporting documentation are submitted correctly and timeously
• Lead and support the Account Management team, including coaching, development, performance management and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Account Management, Key Accounts, Client Management, or a similar commercial role
• Proven experience in client relationship management, price negotiations, and commercial discussions
• Strong business development and upselling skills, with the ability to identify opportunities to grow existing client portfolios
• Excellent communication, negotiation, organisational and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work confidently with clients and internal stakeholders
