Placements24 is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager in Welkom, Free State, to lead enterprise system implementations. The role blends technical acumen with formal project management to drive end-to-end delivery, stakeholder alignment, and successful user adoption.

You will manage requirements, vendor selection, testing, deployment, and post-implementation reviews in a hybrid on-site/remote setup. A strong SDLC background and PMP/Prince2 are desirable for success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT project management with systems implementation (ERP, CRM).
• Experience managing SDLC projects.
• Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Proficient in Jira, Asana or Microsoft Project.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management.
• Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related field.
• PMP or Prince2 certification is a plus.
• Hybrid work: on-site in Welkom with remote options.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and finalize IT projects on time and within budget.
• Acquire and develop resources, including team members and vendors.
• Define scope, goals, and deliverables aligned to business objectives.
• Develop project plans and communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Manage changes to scope, schedule, and costs using verification techniques.
• Mitigate risks and develop contingency plans.
• Ensure quality of deliverables and user adoption of new systems.
• Conduct post-project evaluations and capture lessons learned.
