Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an IT Project Manager to oversee enterprise system implementations from requirements through deployment in a hybrid Soweto-based role. You will drive project success across planning, vendor management, and stakeholder collaboration, ensuring timely delivery and user adoption.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets and risk, and coordinate with IT and business stakeholders to deliver ERP/CRM/HRIS solutions while maintaining best practices and security

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of IT project management experience delivering enterprise systems.
• Proven track record of implementing ERP, CRM, or HRIS projects.
• Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid methodologies.
• Strong SDLC and IT infrastructure understanding.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• PM tools proficiency: MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet.
• PMP, Prince2, or ITIL certifications are advantageous.
• Experience with change management and user training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of IT system implementation projects.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
• Manage vendor relationships, including selection, contract negotiation, and performance monitoring.
• Coordinate with internal IT teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
• Monitor project progress against key milestones, proactively addressing any deviations or issues.
• Ensure adherence to IT best practices, security standards, and organizational policies.
• Facilitate effective communication among project team members and stakeholders.
• Manage project budgets and ensure financial accountability.
• Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT) and system deployment activities.
