Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated IT Project Manager to oversee the implementation of new enterprise systems from planning through deployment and user adoption. The role requires hands-on coordination with technical teams, end-users, and vendors, based in Centurion, Gauteng.

You will manage ERP/CRM system implementations, lead cross-functional teams, and ensure projects meet scope, timelines, and budgets while adhering to ITIL and established methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or related discipline.
• 5+ years of IT project management experience with software system implementations.
• Proven experience managing ERP, CRM, or other complex business system implementations.
• Familiarity with ITIL framework and project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
• Excellent organizational and time management skills; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives and deliverables with stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project plans with resources, timelines and budgets.
• Manage day-to-day operational aspects of IT projects per methodologies and standards.
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for project execution.
• Facilitate effective communication among team, stakeholders and leadership.
• Track project performance and milestones, scope, quality and timelines.
• Identify and manage risks and issues with mitigation strategies.
• Keep project documentation up-to-date and accessible.
• Conduct post-mortems and create improvement recommendations.
• Manage changes to scope, schedules and costs using verification techniques.
