Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Senior IT Project Manager to lead critical IT system implementations in Bloemfontein. You will oversee end-to-end project delivery, from planning through deployment, ensuring on-time, on-budget results.

The role requires 7+ years in IT project management, 4+ years managing ERP/CRM/HRIS deployments, and a strong grasp of PMBOK or Agile. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage budgets, risks, and stakeholder expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 7+ years of IT project management experience.
• 4+ years of experience leading complex system implementations (ERP, CRM, HRIS).
• Proven experience with PMBOK or Agile.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, SDLC, and system integration.
• Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation skills.
• Budget management and handling multiple concurrent projects.
• PMP or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
• Must be able to work in Bloemfontein, Free State area, with occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and finalize IT system implementation projects on schedule and within budget.
• Acquire and manage project resources including personnel, vendors, and equipment.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop comprehensive project plans including work breakdown structures and schedules.
• Manage vendor relationships and performance to meet contractual obligations.
• Identify and manage risks and issues with mitigation plans.
• Communicate project progress and issues to all stakeholders promptly.
• Ensure quality of deliverables and adherence to IT standards and best practices.
• Manage change requests and assess impact on scope, schedule, and budget.
• Conduct post-project evaluations and document lessons learned.
