Qualifications

• Grade 12 plus 5 years related experience or 10 years related experience
• Plan reading experience would be advantageous
• Ability to communicate in English and local dominant language
• Above average numeric skills
• Proven ability to provide exceptional Customer Service
• Proven ability to work under pressure
• Must be computer literate
• Proven strong organising, planning and delegation skills

Responsibilities

• Sales: Issuing and follow up of quotations to generate sales; manage quote process and special orders; read building plans and ensure quotations are correct and timely.
• Deliveries: Manage efficient delivery service; ensure correct rates are charged; deliveries dispatched on time; communicate delays and arrange alternatives with customers.
• Customer Service: Manage Customer Service Desk; record and resolve complaints; ensure high service levels; maintain telephone etiquette.
• Store Standards: Manage Ready for Business checklists, price updates, and planogram implementation.
• People Management: Ensure staff are present and trained; arrange backups; oversee daily duties.
• Safety: Enforce OHSA standards; ensure protective clothing and equipment usage.
• Security: Be aware of suspicious activity and maintain password security.
