Placements24 seeks an Instrumentation Technician for its Mahikeng operations to calibrate, maintain, and repair process instruments, sensors, transmitters, and PLCs. Responsibilities

• Calibrate, install, maintain, and repair a wide range of industrial instruments, including pressure, temperature, flow, and level sensors.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with instrumentation and control systems.
• Read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and technical documentation.
• Perform routine checks and preventative maintenance on instrumentation to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Calibrate, install, maintain, and repair a wide range of industrial instruments, including pressure, temperature, flow, and level sensors.

• Read and interpret P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), electrical schematics, and technical documentation.
• Perform routine checks and preventative maintenance on instrumentation to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Requirements

• Qualified Instrumentation Technician with a relevant technical diploma or trade certificate.
• Proven experience in industrial instrumentation and control systems maintenance.
• Proficiency with calibration equipment and diagnostic tools.
• Strong understanding of process control principles and instrument functionality.
• Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to hazardous environments is beneficial for operations in Mahikeng .
