You will work with engineers and operators to troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and implement upgrades to automation systems in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or N6 in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Instrumentation and Control Technician in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency with PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems.
• Experience with calibration equipment and techniques.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, and maintain a wide range of industrial instruments, including transmitters, sensors, valves, and control systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation and control system malfunctions to minimize downtime.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on instrumentation to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs.
• Assist engineers with the implementation and testing of new control strategies and system upgrades.
