Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in industrial instrumentation and control systems.
• Proficient in calibrating and troubleshooting various types of instrumentation.
• Experience with PLC and DCS systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, maintain, and repair instrumentation devices (pressure, temperature, flow, level transmitters).
• Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in control systems, PLCs, DCS, and field instruments.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on critical instrumentation.
• Read and interpret P&IDs and instrument loop diagrams.
• Collaborate with engineers to optimize control strategies and improve system performance.

About the Role

Our client requires a meticulous Instrumentation Technician to support their operations in Klerksdorp . You will be responsible for the calibration, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of sensors, transmitters, and control valves. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical aptitude, keen attention to detail, and a commitment to ensuring the seamless operation of complex process control loops within the demanding energy industry . Your work will directly impact operational efficiency and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, maintain, and repair various instrumentation devices, including pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in control systems, PLCs, DCS, and field instruments.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on critical instrumentation to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and instrument loop diagrams.
• Collaborate with engineers and operators to optimize control strategies and improve system performance.
• Ensure all instrumentation work complies with safety regulations and company policies in the North West province.
