Job summary

Placements24 seeks a diligent Helpdesk Support Analyst to join their IT department in Welkom. You will provide critical technical support to internal users, troubleshoot issues, and maintain IT service delivery.

The role includes onsite and hybrid work options, onboarding new staff, and conducting IT audits to ensure security and compliance within the Free State province. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Helpdesk Analyst or in a similar IT support role.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS), and common business applications.
• Familiarity with network concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and security best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+ are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and resolve issues for internal users via phone, email, or in person.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
• Manage and monitor IT infrastructure, ensuring system availability and performance.
• Create and maintain IT documentation, including user guides and support procedures.
• Assist with the onboarding of new employees, setting up their IT equipment and accounts.
• Conduct regular IT audits and security checks to ensure compliance and data integrity.
