Placements24 is seeking a Helpdesk Support Specialist to join our Bloemfontein team. You will be the first line of support, resolving user issues and guiding colleagues through technical challenges to keep operations running smoothly.

This hybrid role blends on-site collaboration with remote assistance, requiring solid knowledge of operating systems, networks, and common business applications, plus strong communication and problem-solving skills to assist internal staff and external clients.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a helpdesk or technical support role.
• Strong knowledge of operating systems, network protocols, and common business applications.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Ability to manage workload effectively in a hybrid work setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and effective technical assistance to users via phone, email, and remote support tools.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
• Maintain accurate records of support requests, including issue details and resolution steps.
• Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support technicians or relevant departments.
• Assist with user account management and access control.
• Contribute to the development of user guides and support documentation.
