Job summary

Placements24 seeks a skilled Helpdesk Support Technician to bolster its Mossel Bay IT team. You will resolve hardware, software, and network issues, support end-users, and maintain documentation.

Candidates should have proven helpdesk experience, knowledge of Windows/macOS, Microsoft Office, basic networking, and strong problem-solving and communication skills; CompTIA A+ is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Helpdesk Technician or in a similar IT support role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows/macOS operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common business applications.
• Familiarity with network protocols, troubleshooting, and hardware components.
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
• A relevant IT certification (e.g., CompTIA A+) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve IT support tickets logged by users across the organization.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and network devices.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to operating systems, applications, and peripherals.
• Provide end-user training and support on various IT systems and tools.
• Maintain accurate documentation of IT assets, configurations, and support procedures.
• Escalate complex technical problems to senior IT staff when necessary.
