Job summary

WhatJobs Direct is seeking a skilled IT Helpdesk Analyst to join our team in a hybrid role. You will provide frontline and second-line support to employees, diagnosing hardware, software, and network issues from Bloemfontein, Free State, ZA, with in-office collaboration as needed.

The ideal candidate has strong Windows/macOS knowledge, familiarity with Microsoft Office and G Suite, and experience with Jira Service Desk or Zendesk.

Qualifications

• Experience in an IT helpdesk or technical support role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
• Familiarity with Office Suite and G Suite.
• Understanding of basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Experience with IT ticketing systems (Jira Service Desk, Zendesk).
• Relevant IT certifications (CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation) are a plus.
• Hybrid work based out of Bloemfontein, Free State, ZA.

Responsibilities

• Provide first and second-level IT support to end-users by phone, email, and in-person.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
• Install, configure, and upgrade hardware and software.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
• Maintain IT assets and inventory records.
• Document technical solutions and create user guides.
• Assist with setup of new workstations and peripherals.
• Monitor IT systems for performance and security issues.
• Collaborate with senior IT staff on projects and improvements.
• Ensure timely resolution of tickets per SLAs.
