Placements24 in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal, is seeking an enthusiastic Entry-Level Help Desk Analyst to join our IT support team. This hybrid role combines in-office collaboration with remote work on designated days, offering hands-on experience with hardware, software, and network issues.

You will resolve first-line technical issues, document activities, assist in IT asset management, and escalate complex problems as needed.

Qualifications

• A strong passion for technology and a foundational understanding of computer systems and networks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and helpful demeanor.
• Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows) and common applications (Microsoft Office) and hardware.
• Ability to follow documented procedures and troubleshoot systematically.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Previous customer service or IT support experience is a plus, but not mandatory.
• A relevant IT qualification or ongoing IT studies would be advantageous.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid team environment.

Responsabilités

• Respond to and resolve incoming support requests from users via phone, email, and ticketing system.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues for company employees.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
• Provide basic technical training and support to end-users on standard applications and hardware.
• Document all support activities, resolutions, and technical issues in the help desk system.
• Assist in managing IT assets, including inventory and deployment of new equipment.
• Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or external vendors when necessary.
• Participate in maintaining IT documentation and knowledge base.
• Contribute to maintaining a secure and efficient IT environment.
