Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to optimize plant layouts and workflow efficiency at a mining equipment facility in Rustenburg. The role involves redesigning layouts, improving material flow, and applying lean methods to minimize waste and boost productivity.

A hybrid work model is offered, with on-site site assessments and plan development. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years in industrial engineering, strong CAD skills (AutoCAD, SolidWorks), and a proven ability

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
6+ years of experience in industrial engineering with plant layout and lean focus.
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
Experience with safety standards and safe layout design.

Responsibilities

Analyze existing plant layouts and workflows to identify inefficiencies and hazards.
Develop optimized layouts using CAD considering material flow and ergonomics.
Design and implement efficient material handling systems and logistics within the plant.
Apply lean techniques (5S, Value Stream Mapping) to reduce waste.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to integrate new equipment and processes.
Conduct time studies to establish standard times and productivity improvements.
Prepare reports with cost-benefit analyses and implementation plans.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.
