Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Engineer in Benoni to optimize facility layouts and processes. The role focuses on improving workflow, reducing lead times, and cutting costs through lean principles and ergonomic workspace design.

The successful candidate will analyze layouts, design improved configurations, and collaborate with operations and maintenance to implement changes in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years in industrial engineering with facility layout and process flow optimization.
• Proficient in CAD (AutoCAD, Revit) and simulation tools (Arena, AnyLogic).
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, and value stream mapping.
• Hybrid work capability and ability to work on-site in Benoni.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing facilities and processes to identify layout and workflow improvements.
• Design optimized facility layouts, material flow paths, and workstation arrangements using CAD and simulation tools.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and improve efficiency.
• Conduct ergonomic studies and workspace design to enhance safety and productivity.
• Develop process flow diagrams, facility models, and SOPs.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and maintenance to implement layout and process changes.
• Perform capacity planning and line balancing to maximize utilization.
• Evaluate material handling systems and equipment improvements.
• Support selection and implementation of new manufacturing technologies and automation solutions.
• Manage projects related to facility layout modifications and process enhancements.
