Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Engineer for a prominent mining support services client in Rustenburg, North West. The role focuses on optimizing plant operations, improving asset utilization, and driving cost-effective processes in a challenging mining environment.

You'll analyze workflows, implement lean and Six Sigma projects, develop KPIs, and collaborate with maintenance and operations to deliver measurable productivity gains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years in industrial engineering focused on plant or manufacturing operations.
• Proven lean, Six Sigma and continuous improvement experience.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation abilities.
• Experience with process mapping and simulation software.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Mining or heavy industrial sector experience is desirable.
• Based in or able to commute to Rustenburg, North West.

Responsabilités

• Conduct detailed analyses of plant operations to identify inefficiencies and areas for optimization.
• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce cycle times, and minimize waste.
• Design and recommend changes to plant layouts, equipment, and workflows.
• Utilize simulation and modeling techniques to evaluate proposed operational changes.
• Implement and manage lean manufacturing and Six Sigma projects to achieve targeted improvements.
• Develop and monitor KPIs for plant operations.
• Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and management teams to ensure effective implementation of engineering solutions.
• Ensure all operational processes comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Prepare technical reports and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and support to operational teams.
