Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Engineer in Rustenburg, North West, to enhance manufacturing processes and drive efficiency. The role focuses on lean manufacturing, process optimization, and data-driven improvement initiatives within a hybrid work setup that balances on-site and remote project management.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in manufacturing engineering, strong analytical skills, and experience with MES/ERP systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 4 years' relevant industrial engineering experience in a manufacturing setting.
Proven experience implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
Experience with MES/ERP systems is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
Design and implement new processes to enhance productivity and quality.
Apply lean principles (Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping) to streamline operations and eliminate waste.
Conduct time studies, work sampling, and method studies to optimize task execution and resource allocation.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training materials.
Track and report on KPIs related to manufacturing efficiency, quality, and cost.
Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and maintenance to implement changes.
Utilize simulation tools to model and test process improvements before full-scale implementation.
Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions.
