Qualifications

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of progressive experience in industrial engineering focused on facilities planning and layout design.
• Proficiency with CAD tools (AutoCAD or equivalent) for layout design.
• Experience with factory simulation software (Arena, FlexSim) for layout validation.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, ergonomics, and material handling systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and project management skills.
• Effective communication and leadership abilities; able to influence cross-functional teams.
• Experience managing large capital projects and working in on-site and remote environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and optimization of facility layouts for manufacturing plants, warehouses, and distribution centers.
• Develop detailed material flow strategies to ensure efficient movement of goods and resources.
• Utilize CAD software and simulation tools to model and analyze proposed layouts.
• Conduct ergonomic assessments and implement solutions to improve worker safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, maintenance, and construction.
• Perform capacity planning and space utilization studies to support future expansion needs.
• Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource requirements for layout projects.
• Ensure designs comply with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for management and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on layout and facility design principles.
