Placements24 is looking for a Process Improvement Industrial Engineer to lead lean initiatives and optimize manufacturing workflows in Port Elizabeth. The role focuses on identifying efficiency gains, reducing waste, and driving best practices across production facilities.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years in industrial engineering, hands-on experience with lean tools, and strong data analysis skills.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering is required.
• 3–5 years experience in industrial engineering focused on process improvement.
• Experience applying lean tools in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with simulation and statistical analysis.
• Hybrid work model; able to work on-site and remotely.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct detailed analyses of manufacturing and operational processes to identify areas for improvement.
• Design and implement lean manufacturing initiatives (VSM, 5S, Kaizen).
• Develop and optimize production layouts, workflows and material handling.
• Perform time and motion studies to establish efficient work standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process changes.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and process documentation.
• Track and report KPIs related to efficiency, cost reduction and waste minimization.
• Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects.
• Facilitate training sessions on lean principles and process improvement.
• Ensure safety and quality compliance in all processes.
