Placements24 is seeking an experienced Operations Industrial Engineer for our manufacturing facility in Rustenburg, South Africa. The role focuses on improving efficiency, productivity, and cost‑effectiveness across production lines and operational systems.

You will analyze workflows, implement Lean and Six Sigma‑based process improvements, map processes, train staff, and monitor KPIs to drive sustained performance in a hands‑on, on‑site role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field required.
• Minimum 5 years in industrial engineering within manufacturing/heavy industry.
• Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in process mapping, data analysis and performance measurement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies, waste, and improvement opportunities.
• Design, develop, and implement process improvements and workflow optimizations.
• Study labor, materials, and machine utilization to boost productivity and reduce costs.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and process flow diagrams.
• Train production staff on new processes and ensure effective implementation.
• Monitor KPIs related to production output, efficiency, and quality.
