Placements24 is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer for on-site work in Rustenburg, North West. You will optimize production processes, implement lean methods, and collaborate with shop-floor teams to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years in manufacturing or industrial engineering.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen, VSM).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• CAD for layout design and visualization.
• Excellent communication and teamwork, capable of engaging all levels.
• Familiarity with SPC techniques and process documentation.
• Willing to relocate to the Rustenburg area.

Responsibilities

• Analyze processes for efficiency, cost reduction, and quality.
• Develop and document new or improved manufacturing methods.
• Design plant layouts to optimize space, equipment, and people.
• Conduct time studies and set standard production times.
• Lead lean initiatives to eliminate waste and boost productivity.
• Collaborate with engineering, production and QA to resolve issues.
• Evaluate new equipment and technologies for capability.
• Create and maintain SOPs and work instructions.
• Train staff on new processes and best practices.
• Monitor performance and identify corrective actions.
