Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Event and Conferencing Manager in Rustenburg, North West, ZA. The role combines remote planning with on-site supervision, overseeing end-to-end events from inception to post-event review.

You will deliver creative concepts within budgets, coordinate with catering, AV, and sales teams, and ensure profitability and client satisfaction. Flexibility for evenings/weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years' experience in event management, preferably in a hotel or conference venue.
• Proven experience planning and executing corporate events, weddings, and conferences.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
• Proficient in event management software and MS Office.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends; ability to work remotely and on-site in Rustenburg.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end event and conference planning from client consultation to post-event evaluation.
• Develop creative event concepts and proposals within client budgets.
• Coordinate with catering, AV, banqueting, and sales teams to ensure flawless execution.
• Manage event budgets, track expenses, and ensure profitability for each event.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure best rates and services.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations during events.
• Conduct site inspections and host client meetings, in-person and virtual.
