Placements24 is seeking an Event Planning Coordinator in Rustenburg to support senior planners in delivering corporate, conference, social and wedding events. This hands-on, on-site role emphasizes meticulous execution, budget awareness and client satisfaction.

You will assist with planning, vendor coordination and on-site management, ensuring timelines are met and risks are mitigated while delivering memorable experiences in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in event coordination or similar role.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with multitasking ability.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and execution of events; meet logistical requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors, venues and suppliers; manage contracts.
• Manage event timelines, budgets and client expectations.
• Oversee on-site event setup, operations and breakdown.
• Liaise with clients to understand event needs and provide updates.
• Conduct venue research and site inspections.
• Assist in developing event concepts, themes and creative elements.
• Manage RSVPs, guest lists and seating arrangements.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and legal regulations for events.
• Provide support to the event management team before, during and after events.
