Placements24 is seeking an organized and client-focused Event Catering Coordinator for a hybrid role in Pretoria. You will be the primary contact for clients, guiding menu selections, coordinating venues, staffing and logistics to ensure flawless service.

Work split between remote administration and on-site supervision, collaborating with culinary teams, event staff, and vendors to deliver memorable experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Event Coordinator, Catering Manager, or similar role.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Proficiency in event planning software and MS Office.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as needed for events.
• Driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of event catering from client consult to post-event follow-up.
• Develop detailed proposals with menus, timelines, budgets.
• Liaise with clients to understand requirements and dietary needs.
• Manage logistics including staffing, equipment rental, venue setup, and transport.
• Collaborate with culinary team to finalize menus and production.
• Conduct site visits and venue assessments.
• Supervise on-site event execution and client satisfaction.
• Handle client inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Maintain client records and event documentation.
• Build relationships with clients, venues and suppliers.
