Placements24 is seeking a highly organized Remote Catering Event Planner & Logistics Coordinator to manage virtual and hybrid catering events nationwide in South Africa. The role requires coordinating with catering partners, managing delivery schedules, and ensuring a seamless client experience from a home office.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in event planning/logistics, strong communication, and proficiency with MS Office/Google Workspace.

Competenze

• 4+ years of experience in event planning, logistics coordination or similar roles with strong operational focus.
• Proven experience managing complex logistics, preferably in catering/food service context.
• Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency with project management software and standard office applications (MS Office, Google Workspace).
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects remotely.

Mansioni

• Plan and coordinate all logistical aspects of virtual and hybrid catering events from inception to completion.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and translate requirements into actionable plans.
• Manage relationships with a network of catering vendors across regions.
• Develop detailed event timelines, schedules and delivery plans.
• Oversee delivery logistics, including scheduling, routing and confirmations with clients and vendors.
• Troubleshoot and resolve logistical issues in real-time during events.
• Maintain accurate event documentation (contracts, proposals, manifests).
• Collaborate with sales, culinary and customer support to ensure a unified client experience.
• Implement and refine logistics processes to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Stay updated on best practices in virtual/hybrid event management.
