You will manage weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payrolls, ensure SA regulatory compliance, and handle confidential employee data and payroll-related inquiries.

The role requires strong payroll software skills (VIP/Sage) and Excel proficiency, with emphasis on accuracy, reporting, and collaboration with HR and Finance to maintain data integrity

Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll processing experience in SA.
• Qualified in Payroll Management or HR-related field.
• Experience with VIP or Sage Payroll and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to handle confidential information and comply with SA labour laws.

Responsibilities

• Process accurate and timely weekly/bi-weekly/monthly payroll for all employees using designated payroll software.
• Ensure compliance with South African payroll legislation, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Manage employee payroll data, including new hires, terminations, and salary/benefits changes.
• Perform payroll reconciliations and investigate discrepancies, applying corrections as needed.
• Process statutory payments such as UIF, SDL, and PAYE, and submit returns.
• Liaise with external payroll providers and government agencies as required.
• Respond to employee payroll queries and resolve issues promptly.
• Assist in administration of employee benefits including medical aid, pensions, and provident funds.
• Generate and distribute payroll reports to management and relevant departments.

About the Role

Our client, a growing entity in the service industry located in **Vereeniging, Gauteng, ZA**, is looking for an experienced HR Payroll Specialist. Requirements

• Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., VIP, Sage Payroll) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy.
• Strong understanding of HR principles and practices related to payroll.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
