About the Role

Our client, a prominent player in the mining and resources sector, is seeking an experienced and results-driven HR Manager to oversee all human resources functions at their strategic location in Rustenburg, North West Province . This is a demanding, on-site role that requires a leader with a strong command of HR strategy and execution, particularly within an industrial environment. You will be responsible for developing and implementing HR initiatives that support business objectives, foster a productive workforce, and ensure compliance with all labour laws. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with excellent leadership capabilities, able to manage a diverse workforce and navigate the complexities of an industrial setting. This position is crucial for maintaining operational efficiency and employee well-being within the Rustenburg operations. Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the HR department, ensuring the effective delivery of all HR services. Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company's overall business goals and operational needs. Oversee talent acquisition, ensuring the attraction and retention of skilled personnel for the Rustenburg site. Manage employee relations, addressing grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution proactively. Ensure compliance with all South African labour legislation, company policies, and safety regulations. Develop and manage compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness and fairness. Implement performance management systems to drive employee productivity and development. Oversee training and development initiatives to enhance workforce skills and capabilities. Manage HR budgets and resources effectively. Foster a positive and safe working environment, promoting employee engagement and adherence to health and safety standards.

Requirements

A Master's degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, or a related field. A minimum of 8-10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial or senior leadership role. Proven experience managing HR functions within the mining, industrial, or manufacturing sector is essential. In-depth knowledge of South African labour law and industrial relations. Demonstrated success in talent management, employee relations, and organizational development. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Experience with HRIS implementation and management. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage complex employee relations issues. Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities. Must be based in or willing to relocate to Rustenburg, North West Province .
